According to reports, Newcastle is now considering a move for Samu Aghehowa, a 21-year-old striker from FC Porto. Aghehowa scored 27 goals and provided three assists for Porto last season. He signed a five-year deal with Porto for €15m and has a €100m release clause.
Newcastle would be willing to pay the release clause to sign Aghehowa, as they need a replacement for Isak. Isak is currently training alone and wants to join Liverpool, but his deal is conditional on Newcastle signing a new striker. The club is struggling to find a suitable replacement, and Isak is stuck away from the squad as the season approaches.
