Estevao has already made a name for himself in the football world, starring in the Club World Cup for Palmeiras and earning five caps for Brazil. He has also scored 27 goals and recorded 15 assists in his 83 appearances for Palmeiras.
Maresca wants to help Estevao settle into the team and avoid putting pressure on him. He believes that giving the young player time to adapt and be happy will help him develop into a world-class talent.
"We need to pay attention to him because he's from a different part of the world and very young," Maresca said. "We need to give him time and let him adapt. Hopefully, we can give him playing minutes, and he'll be even happier."
Maresca also praised Estevao's versatility, comparing him to Cole Palmer. He believes that Estevao can play in many positions and will be an asset to the team in the new campaign.
"He can play everywhere," Maresca said. "He's very good. He's like Cole in terms of his position. He can play outside, inside, and everywhere. In our five attacking positions, he can play everywhere."
