Lacroix shared his experience of predicting the team's win in the FA Cup last season. He said, "I had a feeling that we would win the FA Cup before the season started. I prayed and believed that God told me we would win a trophy."
However, initially, Lacroix thought they would win the Carabao Cup instead. After losing to Arsenal in the quarter-final, he doubted their chances. But after winning against Millwall, Fulham, and Aston Villa, he became confident of their victory.
Lacroix emphasized that the team's confidence was key to their success. He said, "We have many people who believe in us, but I think the whole team was confident – and we played with this confidence."
He added that the fans' energy in the stadium also contributed to their win. "You could see it in the fans – everything was working in our favor," Lacroix revealed.
After their win against Aston Villa, Lacroix was certain that they would win the trophy. "I was like, 'for sure, we're going to win this trophy, for sure, for sure'," he said.
