Ratcliffe spoke about the reopening, saying, "As one of the most well-known brands in the world, Manchester United must compete at the highest level. A world-class training facility is an important part of that."
Ratcliffe noted that when he first visited Carrington two years ago, the facility was already excellent but had fallen behind the times. He decided to invest in the training facility, despite some people doubting the project's feasibility.
"There were those who said it couldn't be done in 12 months, but we've completed the project on time and within budget," Ratcliffe said.
The upgraded training complex is now considered a key part of Manchester United's modern facilities.
