Son, 33, has spent the last decade playing for Tottenham in the Premier League, but has now moved to the United States to join LAFC.
Harry Kane, who plays for Bayern Munich, has praised Son's qualities as a player and a person, highlighting his humility and good character.
"I've got to know him really well as a friend, and just how humble he is and how good a guy he is," Kane said.
"As a player, we had one of the best partnerships in Premier League history. We just had that connection that we loved."
