Buonanotte's contract with Brighton is set to expire in the summer of 2028. He joined the team from Rosario Central in January 2023.

Leeds is not the only team interested in Buonanotte. Borussia Dortmund is also keen on signing him, and it seems they are the favoured option at the moment. Buonanotte is reportedly open to a move to the German club.
