To accommodate both signings, Barcelona needs to create space in their wage bill. As a result, they are exploring the possibility of selling one of their players in the coming weeks.
Several players, including Marc Casado, Fermin Lopez, and Ronald Araujo, are being considered for sale. Pablo Torre has already left the club to join Real Mallorca, and Pau Victor and Inaki Pena are also expected to depart.
Of these players, Araujo is seen as the most viable option for sale. Despite signing a new contract until 2031, coach Hansi Flick does not consider him a first-choice player. In fact, Araujo is currently behind other defenders like Pau Cubarsi, Inigo Martinez, and Eric Garcia in the pecking order.
