The Spanish club views Kane as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski, whose contract expires at the end of the season.
Kane, who is under contract with Bayern until 2027, can leave the German club next year for a transfer fee of €65m, which Barcelona are eager to explore.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is open to negotiating a new contract with Kane to keep him at the club.
Barcelona is also considering other center-forward options, including Erling Haaland, Julián Álvarez, Karl Etta Eyong, and Dusan Vlahovic.
