"I'm feeling very good, very strong, and very different from how I felt last year," Thiago said. "I've never felt better."
Thiago admitted that he's had to put in extra work during the summer, but he's also focused on relaxing and not solely concentrating on football.
His goals are personal, but his main objective is to be in top form to score goals for Brentford, which is why he was hired.
Thiago is positive about new manager Keith Andrews, saying that the change in mentality and approach to training has been beneficial. He appreciates the opportunity to learn new ways of thinking and playing.
"The main difference has been working with the ball," Thiago explained. "We've been focusing on the technical aspects of the game, rather than just running."
