Mainoo believes Cunha's addition has brought a new dynamic to the team. "When I played with Matheus in the last game, I thought it worked well," Mainoo said. "Even if I make a mistake and pass the ball poorly, he will still manage to control it. He likes playing under pressure and in one-on-one situations, which makes it easier for me."
Mainoo is also pleased with the way the team has gelled together since the players returned. The addition of new players such as Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo has been beneficial. "It's been good playing in midfield with players like Manu Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes, or Casemiro," Mainoo said. "The training has been good, and we're feeling positive after getting our first win against West Ham."
Mainoo acknowledged that the hot weather in the United States and New Jersey has been a challenge, but overall, he's enjoying the experience. "It's been nice, despite the heat," Mainoo said.
Mainoo is looking forward to continuing to work with his teammates and developing his skills in the preseason matches.
