Chelsea is reportedly willing to pay £700,000 to bring Schaper to their team, but Manchester City is also interested in signing him. City already has Schaper's younger brother, Astin, on their books and would like to bring the pair together. The brothers moved to England from South Africa just a year ago.
Chelsea's large offer could be enough to convince Blackburn Rovers to sell Schaper to them. Schaper is a midfielder who developed his skills through the youth system at Supersport and even trained with Manchester United when he was just eight years old. He moved to England in 2024 and has been making a name for himself in the youth football scene.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea or Manchester City will ultimately win the bid for Schaper's services. Both clubs have a lot to gain from signing a talented young player like him.
